Commenting on the outcome of the general election in the Chester North & Neston constituency, Cllr Simon Eardley said:
"The general election is over! It has been a great honour to be the Conservative candidate for my home constituency and the place where I was born. To see 10,388 people put their cross next to your name and have confidence in you is deeply humbling. Thank you to everyone who supported me and especially to the fantastic team of volunteers who have spent many hours (literally in all weathers!) working for what they believe in. They are the very best!
Congratulations to Sam Dixon on her election as the Member of Parliament for the Chester North and Neston constituency. I wish her well in representing this wonderful part of Cheshire.
I won’t be going away! This place is my home. Whilst this website may not be as active in the coming weeks in terms of a parliamentary focus, my work as a councillor for the fantastic Saughall and Mollington Ward continues - I’ve been out working there this morning (Friday 5th July).
